Milwaukee, WI (March 19, 2014) – Taylor Dynamometer launches New Oil Mist Collector option for Hydraulic Test Centers (HTC). The Oil Mist Collector provides targeted mist collection for test components such as transmissions that have unconcealed rotating equipment which develop an oil mist while under test. Oil mist collection is achieved through a 3-stage process of filtration. The first impinger stage simply provides a surface for mist to collect and then drip back to the tank. The second and third stages ionize the remaining mist to force the contamination onto a surface and then drips back to the tank. All of this collection is done with washable filters.
The Oil Mist Collector option provides many benefits to your operation including:
• lower operating costs with the reusable/washable filters which eliminates the need of costly disposable media
• prevention of cell contamination by trapping the oil at the source
• a cleaner and safer work environment for employees
The Oil Mist Collector option is intended to support the ventilation that exists in the test facility by proving targeted oil collection. It is not a means of providing conditioning of air for an entire room.
Taylor’s Hydraulic Test Centers (HTC) are versatile machines designed for the testing of heavy-duty, off-highway hydraulic components. Taylor’s HTCs are capable of testing transmissions, hydraulic motors, hydraulic cylinders, valve blocks, torque converters, gear pumps, vane pumps and hydrostatic pumps.
