Plainville CT : The new CAP-300 Series Coolant Level Sensor, from Gems Sensors & Controls, is a durable and reliable point level sensor designed to perform over long periods of time under the most rugged coolant applications. As a leading provider of level and pressure sensors for off-highway vehicles, locomotives and generator sets, Gems has expanded their product offering with the launch of this innovative level sensor.
“With the launch of the CAP-300, Gems is excited to offer the best-in-class solution for OEM customers” states Kevin Castonguay, Integrated Marketing Programs Manager for Gems Sensors & Controls. “After spending over two years consulting with industry leading customers and conducting rigorous testing, we are confident that this is the most reliable point level sensor on the market. The CAP-300 is unique in that it operates in a frequency range which minimizes the effects of the conductivity of the media to ensure long term performance and the sealed design prevents any fluid intrusion.”
The CAP-300 will require nearly zero maintenance; is small in size (2” in length), tolerates coating and will remain reliable even in the standby mode. Compatible with temperatures up to 257°F (125°C) the capacitive based sensor is suited for the most challenging environments. Available with a variety of mounting types and electrical connections, is easy to install and can handle a supply voltage from 9 to 32VDC. The CAP-300 currently has multiple approvals including CE, IP67, RoHS and IP6K9K.
