Custom Injection Molded Medical Diagnostic Rack

This was a transfer project for a large medical device OEM which includes injection molding and assembly. The part shown here is a component of a medical Diagnostic Machine called a Slide Output Rack.

The Rack is a 3 piece design assembled together with 3 screws and quality control tested by functionally fitting to the mating piece in the machine. The 2 Side pieces are injection molded with a 20% glass-filled PC resin and the Front Piece is injection molded with a blue-tint PC resin. The finished assemblies are individually packaged in custom bubble polybags for protection in shipping and delivery into the clean room. They are also individually labeled for traceability requirements.
