VAC-U-MAX proudly announces exhibition at the 31st edition of IMTS 2016 (International Manufacturing and Technology Show) that will be held September 12-17, 2016 at McCormick Place, Chicago, Illinois, Booth NC-646. VAC-U-MAX will be exhibiting the latest advancements in industrial vacuum cleaning for high volume recovery of various materials including liquids, liquids with solid materials such as metal chips and shavings, swarf, steel shot / grit, and various other metalworking and finishing debris; for applications including emptying machine tool sumps, machine tool beds, oil/water separation, abrasive finishing equipment or any application requiring the quick and efficient clean-up of parts washers, rinse tanks, or liquid spills. Additionally, VAC-U-MAX also specializes in combustible metal powders such as aluminum, magnesium and titanium. Equipment on display includes the following:
Industrial VAC Separates Coolant from Metal Chips & Shavings:
VAC-U-MAX 55MW
VAC-U-MAX 55MW is a complete industrial vacuum cleaning system designed to clean 100% liquids, or liquids with solid particles such as metal chips or shavings. Operators can quickly empty machine tool sumps, machining beds, oil/water separators, parts washers, rinse tanks, and efficiently clean-up liquid spills. Solid particles are separated from collected liquid with a VAC-U-MAX Chip Basket and liner. Unit cleans up to 1-2 gallons per second (60-120 GPM), and with the turn of a lever, the 55MW pumps out liquid contents of the drum through a discharge hose, to a central filtration system for coolant/oils or approved floor drain. Separating coolant and chips in one step enables less down time, improves the handling of scrap, and recycles coolant, minimizing on costs while maximizing on productivity by extending coolant life, and preventing chips and swarf from clogging machine tool filtration systems.
NEW! Wet/Dry Electric Drum Top Industrial VAC for Metalworking:
VAC-U-MAX 55E11
VAC-U-MAX, famous for inventing the world’s first air-powered industrial vacuum cleaner, announces its Model 55E11: the first wet/dry drum-top industrial vacuum designed for long-life in harsh metalworking environments for operation on 110V/1ph or 220V/1ph power. Besides the well-known VAC-U-MAX heavy-duty design, the brushless vacuum motor can operate continuously with a lifespan up to 10X longer than common shop-type vacuum cleaners. In addition, the 55E11 has a unique filtration system that is washable, impact-resistant and mildew resistant---perfect for the machine shop environment. The 55E11 is also equipped with the reliable VAC-U-MAX AutoVac Cutoff device which prevents overfilling of liquids in the drum---no flimsy, unreliable float balls inside cages. Finally: a metalworking vacuum for all machine shops to operate on 110V or 220V power that is worthy of the VAC-U-MAX name!
Continuous-Duty Industrial Vacuum for High Volume Recovery:
VAC-U-MAX MDL 1020MFS
VAC-U-MAX Model 1020 features a powerful positive displacement pump designed specifically for high volume recovery (up to 5 tons per hour). Unit is available in either 10 or 15 HP. As a continuous-duty vacuum producer, unit meets even the toughest clean-up challenges, equipped with a secondary cartridge filter, vacuum relief valve, and a 40-gallon collection container. Unit is easily maneuvered by a single operator. Noise levels are below OSHA standard. Excellent choice for steel shot/grit, cast iron chips, and waterjet sludge, etc.
Two Gallon Per Second Liquid Recovery with Wet/Dry Options:
VAC-U-MAX Model TK
VAC-U-MAX Model TK is ideal for applications requiring high volume liquid recovery, with wet and dry options available as application dictates. Unique design fills 99% of closed top drums at rates of up to 2 gallons per second. Unit features a single venturi, producing maximum suction and air-flow with minimum air consumption. The Model TK offers a quiet operation, with no motor noise and air exhaust muffled for sound levels within OSHA requirements. Unit is available in carbon or stainless steel construction.
Central Vacuum Cleaning Systems for Below-Floor Chip Conveyor
VAC-U-MAX Tube Hopper deposits collected chips onto existing below-floor mechanical chip conveyor. The vacuum system is used to manually clean the inside of the machine tool and the big parts that are being machined---they have lots of nooks and crannies for chips and coolant to build up inside. The Tube Hopper discharges the collected chips onto the chip conveyor which runs beneath the floor level.
