Exciting news at Astro! Our new TruPunch 5000 safely arrived and is installed. With this new machine, we will triple our output capabilities in perforated metal panel production! As you may or may not know, the 5000 is the “top-of-the-line” machine for perforating metal for speed and reliability. With the increased production capability, we are looking to work more for both the industrial and architectural sectors.
Astro Engineering has been perforating metal for the food industry and architectural products for over 10 years. With two amazing punching machines now, this increases our ability to meet even tighter production schedules. We are especially competitive in designs that require a border or a pattern using multiple punch shapes. Our perforating capabilities – combined with complete metal fabrication competency – means you can count on us for your full metal fabrication needs.
Capabilites
In addition to industry standard patterns and sheet sizes, we offer advanced capabilities. We have a vast selection of sizes, gauges, materials, patterns, and perforation available for industries across the nation. We can emboss or stamp your sheet metal if need be, as well. Our pattern capability includes, but not limited to:
• Round • Square • Slotted • Hexagon • Diamond • Grecian
• Triangle • Airline • Marietta • Oval • Cloverleaf • Chain-link
Our work has been extensive in providing perforated metal building panels, gas and oil filtration equipment, perforated panel guard railing, perforated aluminum fences, food processing parts and equipment, and other architectural applications. Many of these projects require forming or bending. That is where our press brake department comes in. Our welding department is amazing with experienced welders, highly efficient welding machines, and a CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) on staff. Our crew is highly skilled on the more difficult stainless and aluminum projects, and still easily handle the carbon steel projects, too. That’s not all! Besides complete metal fabrication, we can also provide finishing options. These include anodizing, 70% PVDF resin-based coatings, powder coating, painting, and custom finishes.
