Last week, we talked about how our cable, wire rope, and cable assemblies ensure your safety on airplanes. Well this week we will talk about how another one of our products—safety lock wire—goes above and beyond to ensure your safety not only on planes, but also trains and automobiles.


Safety Lock Wire—if it sounds like its application is obvious, that’s probably because it is—lock wire is mainly used in high vibration environments where fasteners could normally shake loose. Lock wire provides a visual notification of the condition the wire is in. If a mechanic were to see that a wire was broken or worn down, this would be a clear indication that something is wrong and it needs to be fixed before the next use.
