AFC SPIRALFEEDER^® Automatically Removes Agglomerates for Smooth Conveying

           Clifton, NJ: The SPIRALFEEDER^® flexible screw conveyor from process equipment manufacturer Automated Flexible Conveyor, Clifton, NJ, features an optional integrated crusher. Offered as a single unit for seamless operation and convenience, the powder conveying system sets the crusher under the infeed hopper discharge to automatically reduce the partricle size of agglomerated solids and present a consistent stream of free-flowing powders to the screw conveyor for transfer. Any lumps and chunks that agglomerated in storage are returned to the required particle size while material transfer up the conveyor moves smoothly without concern for clogs, blockages, or buildup at the infeed.

            Devised for transferring flour, salt, silica, pigments, Bentonite clay, gypsum, and other dry, bulk materials that tend to clump in storage, the incline conveyor with integrated crusher automatically transfers the bulk materials from a hopper through the lump breaker and up inside an enclosed tube to discharge into a surge hopper or other location. A built-in safety grate on the infeed hopper helps prevent unintended access to the hopper interior and crusher. 

The AFC SPIRALFEEDER is custom-designed, manufactured, and assembled with the integrated crusher at the company's New Jersey facility. Product and material testing are offered in the on-site test laboratory.
