ENERQUIP ACQUIRES AMERICAN HEATING COMPANY
Enerquip, LLC, a world-class designer and fabricator of stainless-steel heat exchangers and sanitary vessels, today announced they have acquired, as a wholly owned subsidiary, American Heating Company, Inc. (AHC), a leading manufacturer of industrial heating systems.
American Heating Company, located in Oklahoma, has been designing and manufacturing high-efficiency industrial heating equipment for over 30 years. Well-known in the biodiesel, chemical, asphalt and roofing industries, its heaters and heating products are built according to strict performance and efficiency standards, including ASME certifications.
Former owners Joseph Tessitore and Barry Weiner are eager for Enerquip to lead American Heating Company into the future. While Tessitore is staying on to ensure a smooth transition, Weiner will be enjoying a well-deserved retirement.
“We can’t wait to bring the team aboard and are so grateful for Joe’s willingness to stay on with us as he eases into retirement,” says Jeannie Deml, President and CEO of Enerquip and American Heating Company, Inc.
“We’re so excited for the future of American heating,” says Joseph Tessitore, Director of Operations at American Heating Company. “Enerquip’s values, culture and history of success, make them the perfect buyers of AHC. This acquisition is the joining of two leaders in the heating and cooling industry.”
Enerquip’s acquisition of American Heating Company offers synergies and efficiencies otherwise unseen, including the entrance of Enerquip into the industrial carbon steel market. Located in Beggs, Oklahoma, American Heating Company’s manufacturing facility specializes in serpentine radiant coils and steam generators made of carbon steel. While Enerquip’s fabrication facility protects the quality of the stainless-steel products manufactured in Medford, Wisconsin. American Heating Company’s headquarters have joined Enerquip’s in Medford, while its manufacturing facilities will remain in Beggs.
“We know Enerquip will continue our tradition of providing a quality product with integrity,” says Barry Weiner. “Going into retirement, I couldn’t ask for more.”
XLCS Partners, Inc. acted as the exclusive financial advisor to AHC. The transaction was led by Anthony Contaldo, a Partner with XLCS. “AHC’s proprietary product portfolio is an excellent complement to Enerquip’s best-in-class heat transfer solutions, and it was clear from the beginning that this was a unique strategic and cultural match,” Contaldo said. “We look forward to tracking the company’s success.”
