Tolerance Types and RMS Classes
Elasto Proxy’s new e-book describes allowable variations in manufactured components, and examines tolerance tables from the Rubber Manufacturers Association (RMA). The relationship between tolerance types and RMA classes is explained, and readers can learn about design and manufacturing issues with molded and extruded parts.
Using state-of-the-art equipment in ten work centers, Elasto Proxy’s production personnel regularly perform tasks such as cutting and splicing, activities for which the RMA provides tolerance tables. The new e-book includes both spliced length tolerances and cut length tolerances for unspliced extrusions. Data includes drawing designations and inch-based and millimeter measurements.
