Konecranes has launched a new crane parts store to Australasia, making it easier for customers to find the parts they need, check availabilities and track orders.

Konecranes Launches New Store for Crane Parts

The new store is designed to improve inventory and lead time accuracy, in addition to making it as simple as possible to find crane parts, regardless of the make or model.

Konecranes already has a world-leading 450,000 pieces of equipment under service contract globally, in industries such as manufacturing and materials handling, ports, shipping and logistics, mining and energy, power generation, steel, production and process engineering, automotive, water and wastewater, safety and maintenance industries.

“We’ve tried to create a store that feels fresh and modern, but also easy to use. We want anyone to be able to log in and find exactly what they need as quickly as possible,” says Kevin Williams, Parts and Sales Support Manager.

The new store, which can be accessed on phones and tablets as well as conventional desktop computers, also features universal and predictive search, requisition lists, part information and has item photos to match each search result.

In addition to the full suite of Konecranes parts, the store will also offer replacement parts for all makes and models of crane, regardless of the original manufacturer.

“The Konecranes store is set up to be a one-stop-shop. We want our customers to be able to get everything from the one place, with the confidence that it’s backed by the largest crane service organization in the world,” said Mr. Williams.

Konecranes has a range of other options available for situations when a new part is not the best option, or a stock part isn’t the right fit, including:

Rebuilding: urgent repairs can sometimes be accomplished by rebuilding or refurbishing in less time than it would take to order a new part or component, especially with long lead time items.

Reverse Engineering: Replacement parts can be manufactured through reverse engineering for any make and model of overhead crane. Reverse engineering can help solve the problem when crane parts are obsolete or the OEM is no longer in business. It allows for enhancements to the material, design or manufacturing process to improve performance and increase lifespan of the part.

Made-to-Order Parts: for projects that require a unique part, Konecranes can custom make parts to exact specifications.

Component and Assembly Modernization: in addition to offering new components and assemblies, Konecranes specializes in engineering and modernization of components and assemblies to replace those that are obsolete or no longer meeting manufacturing and industry standards. Ready-to-install assemblies can often allow for shorter installation times in comparison to on-site parts replacement or assembly.
