Kenmode Precision Metal Stamping Awarded International Certifications for Quality and Environmental Management Systems
Algonquin, Ill. – Kenmode Precision Metal Stamping has earned three new international certifications for quality and environmental standards. The certifications include two new standards from the International Organization for Standardization – the ISO 9001:2015 standard for quality management systems and the ISO 14001:2015 standard for environmental management systems – and IATF 16949:2016 for automotive quality systems.
Kenmode has held certifications of earlier versions of the ISO 9001 and automotive quality standards but has been certified for the environmental management standard for the first time. Kenmode is among the early adopters of the new global automotive industry standard, IATF 16949:2016, which was recently introduced by the International Automotive Task Force and replaces the ISO/TS 16949 standard.
Kenmode produces a wide range of metal-stamped parts for the automotive industry from micro-miniature stampings with precious metals to production of large-gauge steel parts, as well as specialized components for the electronics, insert molding, and medical device industries, among others.
“Quality has long been the top priority for our precision metal stamping operations, and we are committed to following the latest international quality standards for our all of our customers,” said Kurt Moders, president of Kenmode. “The environmental management standard was an important addition to our certifications, as we were already following best practices to protect the environment through such measures as sustainable resource use and the reduction of waste. We are proud that our efforts have been recognized through these certifications.”
