Introducing Matt Johnson, Newest Member of the Johnson Bros. Family

Dear Customers,

At Johnson Bros. our employees are what separates us from the competition. As an honest, dedicated and caring family business for over 60 years, the family feeling can’t be avoided when working with us. When you do business with Johnson Bros. you become a very important part of the Johnson Family.

With that being said, I would like to introduce the newest member of the Johnson Bros. Family, Matt Johnson. Son of Brad Johnson (Vice President/General Manager/Owner), Matt is the 4th generation of Johnson to be employed by Johnson Bros. His first day on April 1^st 2013 marks the first day since 1984 that Johnson Bros. is once again a three generation company.

During High School Matt worked for Johnson Bros. part time as a CAD drafter, Assistant Mill Operator and helped with machine maintenance. After graduating from Illinois State University in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Computer Systems and a concentration in Mechanical Drafting, he became a consultant for the IT industry. For 4 years he provided valuable IT support services to small and medium size businesses. It wasn’t until he found himself consulting to a 100+ employee manufacturing company that he discovered his love for manufacturing. While working for that client for 3 years, Matt assisted with the installation of an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system. During that project Matt gained priceless experience in each area of manufacturing. After the project ended, Matt continued as a Business Analyst specializing in manufacturing.

At Johnson Bros. Matt will continue as a Business Analyst. We believe Matt’s extensive experience in IT will help the entire business from end to end.  He will step away from the normal day to day to concentrate on process optimization, shop floor technology, drafting, new business opportunities and technology solutions. Eventually, with his current MBA pursuit and mentoring from Ed Johnson (President/Owner), Matt will become heavily involved in the financial side of the business.
