DAJCOR Aluminum had a strong showing with its fundraising, bringing in more than $10,000 for the United Way of Chatham-Kent.
Last year, the company donated $1,800 to the campaign.
“We knew that we could do much better and we are pleased to report this year the employees and company combined to donate over $10,000 – that is an over 500% increase,” said Wayne Cowell, human resources manager at DAJCOR, in a media release.
So far, the 2015 United Way campaign has achieved $1,090,813 of its $2,015,000 goal.
Funds are allocated to support over 40 agencies, programs and services throughout Chatham-Kent.
“We are so grateful for the support we have received from everyone at DAJCOR,” said Tom Slager, acting director of resource development at United Way, in the release. “This amazing gift will be put to good use within Chatham-Kent and will benefit many, many people.”
