LA Times Features Gordon Brush in the Sunday, February 3, 2013 Business Section

February 06, 2013 - "Company News"

The front page of the business section in the Los Angeles Times features Gordon Brush Mfg. Co., Inc. in the Sunday, February 3, 2013 issue. The article brings to light some serious concerns about regulatory agencies and ambiguous codes that prohibit a California manufacturer to remain in place and even expand. Gordon Brush first met this obstacle with local government agencies in 2009, and still continues to seek expansion.

Planning to increase his 51,000-square-foot factory in Commerce by 20,000 feet, owner Ken Rakusin has “almost given up,” but says “this stalemate is not affecting Gordon Brush’s ability to grow its business.” The company continues to invest in modern automation equipment, producing brushes for consumer and industrial purposes including the FootMate™ System and 15,000 other industrial, electronic, janitorial, and medical brushes.
