Dana Darley Joins Vecoplan, LLC

Dana Darley has joined Vecoplan, LLC as National Sales Manager of their Plastics Division. In addition to overseeing the plastics division sales team, and external network of sales representatives dedicated to plastics, Mr. Darley will act as the primary liaison between customers and other departments within Vecoplan that address the needs of the plastics industry. These include the company’s Research & Development and Marketing departments.
 
As part of Vecoplan’s ongoing commitment to constant product improvement, through innovations within existing technologies and invention of new technologies, Mr. Darley will communicate technical challenges faced by plastics processors in the field to Vecoplan’s R&D engineering staff and then work with both parties to develop solutions to these challenges. He will also play an integral role coordinating the introduction of new plastics recycling technologies with Vecoplan’s Marketing department. In 2015 these include the V-ECO plastics shredder and the HydroDyn plastics washing line.
 
According to Bob Gilmore, Managing Director – CSO at Vecoplan LLC, “Dana’s work experience and educational background were key reasons that we wanted him on our team.” Gilmore adds “He’s an engineer, has designed and developed auxiliary equipment and has over 30 years of practical experience in sales, marketing and management - all in the plastics industry. This background uniquely equips Dana to excel in at his new responsibilities.”
 
Prior to joining Vecoplan, Mr. Darley served six years as Vice President/General Manager of Process Control Corporation, a supplier of auxiliary equipment to the plastics processing industry. In 2004 he founded Extrusion Auxiliary Services, operating the technical services and plastics auxiliary equipment sales business as its President. Other work experience, within the plastics industry, includes stints as VP of Sales & Marketing and then President of Kreyenborg Industries, Product and Regional Sales Manager at Maag Pump Systems Textron, and Product Manager – Extrusion & Compounding with the Fluid Systems Division of Luwa Corporation.  
 
Mr. Darley earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University, is a Senior Member of the Society of Plastics Engineers, was awarded a U.S. patent pertaining to gravimetric control of gear pump systems, has had numerous articles published in international plastics trade journals, has been a featured speaker at several plastics industry technical conferences and continues to augment his knowledge base through technical and marketing courses concentrating on the plastics industry.
