Burkert’s new facility, a 124,000 square-foot facility that will sit on a 98-acre parcel of wooded forst and farmland in Huntersville, is designed by WHN+ Architects to be constructed at the greenland site on Mt. Holly-Huntersville Road.

The company has engaged Edifice General Contractors to manage the construction with planned occupancy in March 2016.  The company plans to invest approximately $23,000,000 and create 61 new local jobs over the next five years.

The campus has room for additional construction as the company continues to grow to meet the market demands, including walking trails, a fitness center and use natural lighting and solar power where possible.

As a leader in fluid control technology, Burkert originated the first solenoid valve over 50 years ago and has kept innovating ever since. The Burkert type 2000 angle-seat valve, now 20 years young, was the first of its kind and has been often imitated but never duplicated as a solution for tough-to-solve steam and liquid control applications.

Today, Burkert continues in the quest to provide revolutionary customer-focused solutions controlling liquids and gases with the introduction of the Type 8905 Online Analysis System, which monitors the purity of process water before it is released back into environment and the upcoming Ozone Sterilization System.

Employees at Burkert enjoy market competitive salary as well as a generous benefit package including a company match on 401k contributions and flexible work environment.

The rapid and sustained growth of Burkert USA over the past decade is reliant upon the quality of Burkert products and systems, the experience of a technically-skilled workforce, the stability of a family-owned international corporation and the commitment to re-investment in research and development targeted at solving its customer’s most difficult challenges.
