Solenoid Lock

PEWAUKEE, WI - February 28, 2018 - TLX Technologies, LLC has introduced our newest innovation in solenoid locking mechanisms.  This solenoid actuated locking system provides a combination of several patent-pending features that make it especially attractive to OEMs with applications requiring locking mechanisms in a limited space.

The low-profile of the mechanism mated with the relatively long stroke of the locking pin allows for flexibility in applications where space is limited but strong lockout load is essential.  The unique design of the locking pin allows for an open door to be closed and locked without impacting the solenoid’s lock state. Designed as a latching, two-position solenoid, the mechanism requires power only to change states.  A short pulse of reverse polarity to the solenoid will change the state of the lock.  Supervisory feedback of the locking pin position has been integrated into the design. Scalable based on application requirements.

Features

  •  Low profile with relatively long stroke
  •  Two-position, magnetic latching solenoid
  •  Slam latch feature
  •  Supervisory feedback on locking pin position
  •  Patent pending

Benefits

  • Compact design
  • Zero power consumption in both the engaged and disengaged position
  • Can be mounted & operated in any orientation
  • Integrate into your system for remote control locking
  • Scalable based on application requirements
