This downloadable resource is available via the Elasto Proxy website in PDF format for use with a Web browser or Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Industrial Rubber Products

Founded a quarter-century ago, Elasto Proxy specializes in low-to-medium volume quantities of rubber products. The family-owned company keeps over 700 rubber profiles in stock, and can custom-fabricate seals, gaskets, and insulation that meet precise application requirements. Elasto Proxy is headquartered near Montreal, and has offices in Ontario, Canada; South Carolina, USA; and Shanghai, China.

Tolerance Types and RMS Classes

Elasto Proxy’s new e-book describes allowable variations in manufactured components, and examines tolerance tables from the Rubber Manufacturers Association (RMA). The relationship between tolerance types and RMA classes is explained, and readers can learn about design and manufacturing issues with molded and extruded parts.

Work Centers and Custom Fabrication

Using state-of-the-art equipment in ten work centers, Elasto Proxy’s production personnel regularly perform tasks such as cutting and splicing, activities for which the RMA provides tolerance tables. The new e-book includes both spliced length tolerances and cut length tolerances for unspliced extrusions. Data includes drawing designations and inch-based and millimeter measurements.
