The copper and aluminum forging company has made strategic machinery investments to add capacity while maintaining industry-leading quality standards.

Detroit, Michigan (PRWEB) July 31, 2013 -- Excellence in manufacturing is sustained by finding new and better ways to provide solutions for customers. This relentless drive for excellence is what motivates Weldaloy Products Company to continue investing in new tools and equipment.

Practically speaking, a copper forging specialist like Weldaloy is defined by two factors: the knowledge of their people and the limitations of their machines. With a highly qualified team of engineers, Weldaloy has a tremendous base of knowledge and experience. The most recent equipment investments continue to push Weldaloy well past the limits of most of their competitors.

In recent months the company has added two significant pieces of state-of-the-art equipment. These two new turning centers (a Doosan PUMA 700L and a Doosan PUMA 480L) are fast, efficient and meet the exacting precision standards of Weldaloy.

The PUMA 700L offers advanced turning capabilities (CNC OD turning capability up to 120” long, CNC ID turning capability up to 55” long) while doubling efficiency by running two operations simultaneously. Both the PUMA 480L and the PUMA 700L, allow a true “cell” set-up with machines already in place at Weldaloy. The 480L has CNC OD turning capability up to 80” long and CNC ID turning capability up to 36” long.

Michelle McCullough, Chief Operating Officer at the company, said the following in regards to the recently acquired equipment: “These machines won’t improve our quality per se, for years we have maintained a quality rating in excess of 99.9%. What these new machines will allow us to do is more promptly and efficiently turn around orders for our customers.”
