International Ceramic Engineering Earns ITAR Registration

October 30, 2014 - "Company News"

International Ceramic Engineering Corp. (ICE) recently announced the successful completion of all requirements required to attain registration with the U.S. State Department regarding the International Traffic Arms Regulations (ITAR). This registration enables ICE to better serve government and core government suppliers.

ITAR is a set of U.S. government regulations to control the import and export of data, materials, and resources related to the mission-critical operations of the defense industry. ICE’s ITAR registration ensures that all data as defined by the U.S. Munitions List (USML) is handled in a way that safeguards the privacy and security of defense industry initiatives vital to the country’s national security interests. The regulations specify that information pertaining to defense and military-related technologies may only be shared with persons in the U.S. and must be handled in compliance with a series of security protocols to protect fidelity and access. The regulations are strictly enforced by the U.S. Department of State.

“We have strived to be a dependable resource for the government and defense industries by supplying them with engineering design and material selection for their specific applications,” said Jay Higgins, president and CFO of ICE. “ITAR positions us to further demonstrate our commitment and assistance with highly sensitive and regulated government information.”
