Vecoplan Integrated Controls, North America’s leading manufacturer of control panels for industrial machinery and complete integrated control systems for manufacturing plants, has added Henry Gilliland to its Electrical Engineering team. Gilliland graduated from NC State University in May 2012, earning a B.S. degree with a double major in Computer Engineering & Electrical Engineering. In addition he brings 3 years of practical experience to his new position at VIC. Working first on a co-op basis at Highland Industries while pursuing his undergraduate degree from NC State, and then upon completion, as a full time Engineer with the company.

“Technologies change rapidly and that’s especially true with controls, but controls still have to be easy to use, work in an industrial setting and meet all safety standards,” states Todd Carswell, VP of Technical Services at Vecoplan Integrated Controls. “In order to stay on the cutting edge you need to blend experience with new blood. Henry brings a fresh outlook and new ideas to a VIC electrical engineering team already loaded with field experience.” Carswell adds.

Gilliland’s responsibilities will include working with Senior Engineers to coordinate the design and development of individual machine control panels and turnkey integrated control systems for industrial processing lines and manufacturing plants. In order to ensure continuous quality control, he will also be a team member overseeing the manufacture and implementation of projects once the engineering phase has been completed.
